LeRoy King Carousel

This historic carousel, located at the Children’s Creativity Museum, is the crown jewel of Yerba Buena Gardens. Built in 1906 by renowned craftsman Charles Looff and known as the Looff Carousel, it was renamed the LeRoy King Carousel in 2014 to honor San Francisco Redevelopment Commissioner and Civil Rights Advocate LeRoy King. The carousel transports children – and children-at-heart! – to a bygone era with a rush of organ music and a thrilling, imaginative ride.
